Made for the modern dater, Flirt.com is an easy-to-sign-up and easy-to-use platform for meeting singles aged anywhere from “18-78.” Accounts only take a few minutes to create and new members can start browsing immediately based on basic search settings (sex, age bracket, location). The site is both minimalistic in its layout and methods for matching, but effective if you’re looking for something casual and low-commitment. Plus, the member ratio of men to women is fairly well balanced, which means the odds of finding a date are good. 

As for the actual site, the layout is generally pleasing and comprehensive. The language is straightforward and people’s profile pictures are displayed quite large for a quick scan. It could even be compared to a website version of Tinder. 

While a basic account is free, the site’s more advanced and worthwhile features require payment. But there is a loophole: As 10BestDatingSite.com says, “Flirt.com allows complete and unrestricted access to all their female members.” Women do, however, need to verify their identities to gain access to all the tools and features offered by the site.

One of the otherwise paid-for features is access to chatrooms like “Naughty but Nice” and “Meet Me,” which each respectively let users get to know each other by sharing their more intimate qualities and set up meets based on proposed date ideas. Other perks are being able to view other profiles undetected and to send “Flirtcasts” -- open-ended personalized messages directed at the Flirt pool.

Sign-Up Process

Signing up to Flirt.com is fairly straightforward and isn’t unlike signing up to any other social networking site. You can either choose to sign up for free or go for the paid account, but the process is the same in both cases. After activating your account via email, you’ll be prompted to choose a screenname and create an informal status describing your current state of mind -- this is what other members will see when your profile shows up in search. This is also when you’re asked to define what geographical area, gender and age-range you want to browse. The last step is to upload a profile picture, and then you’re off to the races. 

Messaging & Notifications

You’ll start getting profile views and messages within moments of signing up on Flirt.com, but unless you pay, you won’t be able to reciprocate any real actions. The welcome screen of your account displays a variety of other profiles for you to browse instantly, while notifications in the top navigation bar keep you posted on activities relating to you. 

Key Features

-    Naughty Mode allows you to see members’ “sexy” pictures. You can also switch the mode to No Limits, which will give you access to all otherwise restricted (and explicit) content. 
-    Chatrooms like Meet Me, Naughty But Nice and Kinks And Fetishes provide members with various ways of starting conversations and meeting people with shared interests.
-    The Flirt app comes with a Hot Or Not function, which aims to spark attraction between singles in the same geographical area (similar to Tinder). 
-    Paying members have the option of viewing profiles invisibly and to send express messages.

Safety & Security

Flirt.com does not take the same precautions as other sites to prevent scamming and catfishing, although they do ban members who are reported for inappropriate or abusive behavior. It is possible, however, for members to earn a Trusted status by confirming their identity with a Flirt representative, which is a good way to filter authentic profiles from fraudulent ones.
